Indivisible's Democratic Primary Program

Let's fight for a Democratic Party that'll actually fight for us.

We need leaders capable of defeating the fascist threat posed by Trump and MAGA Republicans. Primaries are how we’ll get them.

What this is all about

The Trump regime poses an existential threat to our democracy.

Everyday people are nonviolently standing up across the country – marching in the streets, rallying at capitals, putting their bodies on the line to protect their neighbors from being disappeared, and turning out in historic numbers for off-year elections. We deserve a Democratic Party that will fight authoritarianism with the same dedication and energy as we are. But far too often, the Democratic Party chooses to fold, not fight.

The Democratic Party isn’t the enemy. But sadly, too many Democratic leaders have been content to watch the battle unfold from the sidelines, or worse, have actively abetted the regime’s corruption and abuse. It’s no surprise that the party has fallen to historic levels of unpopularity.

That’s why Indivisible has launched the biggest primary program in our history – to build a better, stronger Democratic Party capable of meeting this moment and defeating the rise of fascism in America.

Time for a change

Our endorsement process

We're getting behind progressive leaders who will rise to the moment.

Indivisible endorsements come from the grassroots, beginning with recommendations from our groups in the states and districts where primaries are taking place. Once our groups have made their own endorsements and recommended a candidate for a national endorsement, we put it up for a vote amongst all Indivisibles in the given geography. Then, we’ll offer our endorsement, as long as the candidate meets our criteria:

➔ A refusal to take contributions from Fascism Funders—the techno-fascists of Silicon Valley, billionaire donors helping to enrich Trump and his cronies, cryptocurrency scammers, and AIPAC.

➔ A commitment to using the power of a congressional majority to investigate and prosecute the Trump regime’s abuses and corruption of the Trump regime.

➔ And for Senate candidates, a commitment to not support Chuck Schumer as majority leader.

Check out our endorsement guide for more in-depth info on the process.

How you can get involved

It's us vs. the establishment. Let's go!

The great thing about an Indivisible endorsement is that it comes with people power.

That’s you. In a state/district with an endorsed candidate? We need you out there knocking doors, if you’re physically able. No matter where you are, you can join a phonebank.

If we want a better Democratic Party capable of defeating this fascistic clown show of a regime, we need to work for it. You can sign up for a shift (or several) below.

Indivisible Neighbor2Neigbor 2026 Democratic Primary

If you’re in a state or district with an Indivisible endorsee in a competitive primary, you’ve got a critical role to play. As we approach primary day, Indivisible will launch our Neighbor2Neighbor tool, providing you with a list of 10 households in your area (often within walking distance of your home) where there are like-minded neighbors who might need a nudge to get out and vote in the primaries. There’s no app to download, and you can knock the doors on your own time. It’s sort of like canvassing, but easier, more fun, and way more effective.

Neighbor2Neighbor is currently available in these areas:
